“Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.”- 2 Timothy 1:13-14

We have learned much from God through the scriptures the validity and the power of His words and commands. It is our spirit within that confirms what the Holy Spirit wants us to understand and believe. Let us put our spirit under subjection to the Holy Spirit. Let’s discern what He is saying. Let’s aknowledge His instructions for us.

We got to listen to One Voice. Moreover, retain what we have heard. Do not neglect the words of God through His prophets and apostles, the pastors, teachers, and evangelists. Let us trust these delegated authorities to speak in our lives. Let us yield to their instructions. They are His people, respect them and follow them. It’s about time to listen to the men and women of God. Those words of wisdom you have heard from your “direct covering” will preserve you, because they are ordained by God. They are responsible for your life as they are responsible for God’s vineyad. Trust them, they will not ruin your life, instead, they will guide you as you go through this journey called life. God, who speak on them, will reveal to them what’s the best for you, and you have to honor them for their dedication and their conviction to take that big responsibility of guiding someone else’s life. Don’t doubt them. Whenever you feel doubtful or uncertain, look at the scripture, go back to the bible, and see if their lifestyle confirm with the bible. It is said in the scripture to test every spirit. However, don’t test their spirit if you have something personal against the guy. It’s hard to kick against the goads (Acts 26:14). If you are standing with the man of God, do not even say or think a word against him, because God is standing on his behalf, be careful. Instead, respect them. Honor them.

Guard. Guard the words entrusted upon you through the holy spirit. Do not waste your life sinning and repenting, then sinning again and repenting once more. You are moving into circles! Our life should be from glory to glory! Not a life cycle of defeat. Guard your heart from every winds of doctrines of men, stick to what you believe in. As long as your heart is pure before God, He will direct you in the right path. And we have to keep our foundation so strong. It’s not enough for us to be righteous. We have to be wise. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3). We have to be wise enough to see an enemy from the distance. We have to be wise enough to prepare for invasion. We have to be wise enough when to speak and when to keep silent. God is a God of order. We have to live our life in order, according to His plan for us.

God bless you!

Isaiah 48:17

“This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.”- Isaiah 48:17

God is so good in our life. He give us everything we need, and more than we could ask for. But it does not stop there. We have to trust Him in our life. He teaches us to know what is the best for us so we can live a healthy, Godly lifestyle. He knew what is the best for us. Let us open our hearts to Him everyday, believing in His promises, keeping His commands, setting our eyes into worship. Let’s continue to have this lifestyle. And as we experience His love in our life, we are moving into higher heights, into a new level of understanding, having a renewed mind and pure heart before God. Let’s commit ourselves to God.

God bless you.

The Courage of Letting Go…

It takes a lot of courage to let go of those we used to live with. There are various feelings that we have to leave behind for us to grow into new level of maturity. Some feelings that once so sweet are now bitter grudges that keep us in bondage. We can’t live in this present world with yesterday ‘s mindset. We have to move forward. Sometimes, it’s the forward motion that’s so hard we rather stay the way we are. Before long, everything and everyone around us took their flight. Then we begin to worry. Had we missed our flight?

Waiting is a virtue. We have to wait patiently, but we have to wait wisely. Learn when we wait and when we move. It’s not wise to stay where you are wherein everyone is in motion. Ask God for wisdom. Let’s not trust on our own instinct. Sometimes, somehow, it would be better to pray and ask God for guidance rather than move on your own, especially if you’re not quite sure of the outcome. Trust Him, He have better, i mean, the best plan for your life. Perhaps you undergoing heavy pressures and experiencing unusual problems and struggles beyond compare because God wants you to trust in Him. For years we trust God, and He is so proud of you becuase of that. However, we have to be so honest to God to trust him everyting – even those things we can’t let go. Each of us are equipped with willpower. Use that willpower to trust God no matter what. A lot of people use their willpower to deny God’s intervention in their life, having a mindset that they can make it on their own. When all their hopes are gone, then that’s the time they will turn on to Jesus. Such little faith! I’d been there, that’s why i knew.

Sometimes we have to let go extra baggage that we are carrying. God is in the business of reaching His people. Trust completely to God. Keep the faith burning in your heart. Run the race of a lifetime. It’s nice to walk hand-in-hand with God. Let go of all the things that put you down or hinder you in completing the mandate entrusted to you.

God bless you.

Heart of Worship (Matt Redman)

 John 4:23

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

This song became an all-time favourite of Christians. The message of the song is all about worshipping God from the heart. Sometimes the Sunday service is becoming so familiarized and so formal/casual that we tend to focus on how flawless and how skillful they play with the instruments and they sing songs.

This song touches every heart of a believer whether you are on-fire Christian (as you should have to) or a Christian who grew cold. In Christ, we worship for Him. It’s all about Him.

We are serving a living God. And since He’s real, we must be so real before Him. God desires true worshippers. He can’t afford to look at second-rated acdt of worship. Whenever we worship the King, be on our best! Give your all! After all, He gave us everything we have and everything we are right now. Mostly, we worship Him because we love Him, not out of fear of judgment, but out of reverence.

Unless we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, we can;t have this heart of worship. Desire this night and day. Meditate on His Word. And when he given that heart to us, let’s nurture it day by day. Let’s draw closer to the Throne. For in Him alone we can truly be safe and have a peaceful, meaningful life on earth – a life worthy of His praise.

When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless your heart
I’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You, all about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the things I’ve made it
When it’s all about You, It’s all about You Jesus
King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I’ll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You Jesus

Its all about you

Pelikulang 100% Tatak-Pinoy

Mahilig akong manood ng pinoy movies kahit nuon pang bata ako. Ni-r-recall ko mga eksena sa movies na bukod-tangi sa pinoy movies mo lang makikita. Wag sana ikagalit at sabihing pintasero ako. Natutuwa lang ako sa creativity at pagiging unique ng mga pinoy directors at mga artista. Ilan sa mga obserbasyon ko ay nakasaad. Magdadagdag ako once in a while. Magdagdag din kayo. P.S.

At nauunahan pa niyang pumutok.

For the pink bundle of joy…

I praise God for a new addition in our family. On the 26th of August, 2010, my sister, Arlene, gave birth  to Jeremiah Ong. He’s the second in the siblings. Their first son is Ace Jeadam, a 10-year old child. Weighing 3000grams, and a bit smaller compare to Ace. I just dropped by to pay visit to their newly-born baby. He’s so cute! I am moved by how he cry everytime his mother leave him.

I want to thank God for all the blessings He showered upon our family. Our family in the Philippines are extending their greetings and their joy upon receiving the news. Jeremiah’s birth mark another milestone of Jesus’ faithfulness in our lives. I just can’t help but praise God for another life being entrusted in our family… for another gift given to us. The joy is incomparable. I just can’t contain it, having the baby by my side. I assure that he will grow up blessed surrounded by carriers of God’s presence (how about that!). Eventhough he’s born here in Qatar, i declare that he will be on-fire for Jesus because the eye of God that looks down from heaven to His people in the Philippines is the same eye that is upon his life. I will be with him as he grow, as his life is unfolding before our eyes, we will equipped him with prayers and will teach  him of the goodness and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Truly, God’s name will be very evident and, indeed, will light upon his life. We will watch over him as we do to his elder brother,  Ace. We will continue to live this life holding firmly on God’s promises.

This is our way of thanking God for the gift. We will be faithful and offer ourselves before God. May our light shine so bright before men as we reflect the glory and riches of God in our lives.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” – Psalms 90:12 (NASB)

All Things Are Possible

 Matthew 19:26

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

This song gave birth to my early born again Christian exposure. It’s not how long you are in the Christian world or how long you are inclined to the gospel. It’s about believing in God and His promises, knowing that “All Things Are Possible”

Everytime I go into ordeal, or I don’t know what is happening to me, I am being led into the heart of worship, and I often find myself singing this particular song. Praise God for men and women of our generation who continually offering their gifts and hearts to the Most High God!

Everytime I face “giants” in my life, when all my hopes are literally fading and taken away from me, I keep holding on one truth: that all things are possible to God. No matter how hard the situation is, God is God and will still be God whether you believe or not. And He will take care of His sons. Praise God for the confidence and encouragement He had given to us through the mouth of His people. Let’s shout that in Him, all things are possible!

Almighty God my redeemer
My hiding place my safe refuge, no other name like Jesus
No power can stand against You.

My feet are planted on this rock
And I will not be shaken
My hope it comes from You alone
My Lord and my salvation

Your praise is always on my lips
Your word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You Lord
You fill my life with greater joy
Yes I delight myself in You
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You, Lord

When I am weak, you make me strong
When I’m poor, I know I’m rich for in the power of Your name
All things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possible
All things are possible

Into Higher Heights

If you feel that the whole world are crumbling down before you, you might consider siting down for a while. You have no idea how blessed you are, if you only have courage to see beyond your situation. For example, you are blessed for being able to breath normally, still wake up in the morning healthy. You are blessed for having a life full of struggles, pains and sorrows. You will not grow in other way round, because such are essential fo your maturity as a better individual. You should be thankful of people who upset you. It takes a lot of patience and years of enduring constant pains and sufferings prior to a better you. You can be so mad at people around you and move into circles over and over again, or you can learn how to take away hurts from their constant blows. They will surely get tired of hiting you especially if they feel that you did not mind them. If you mature into a higher heights, you have no business to go down to their level. It’s not how hard they attack you that counts, it’s how you receive it. They can move roaring around like carzy and still, you sleep soundly. Do not take eye for an eye, teeth for a teeth. Let God move on your behalf. You are commissioned to live a life honorably before God and me.

If you mature into a higher heights, you have no business to go down to their level.

When you please God, the praise of men will follow. You always hear the cliché that “You don’t have to please everyone.” Whethere you do right or wrong, somebody wil lsurely hate you. Suffer for being righteous. The eye of the Lord is upon the righteous. Seek God, and let His counsel guide you for a new, Christ-like way of living.

Bible-Based Lifestyle

Each day offers us brand-new experience and lessons to live by. We meet face to face various people with different (really different) attitudes and characters. A lot of people tempt us to be mad, upset, and frustrated. Somehow, we encounter people who can jive with us – people who make us glad, and show us love in manyways. Truly, these people are essential for us to grow into maturity. They teach us how to “dance”in the music of life. Sometimes (or most of the time), we tend to fall out of tune. But we don’t stop there, we just can’t afford to stop because we choose not to be stocked-up invain. We are determined to get something out of everything we are into. If we fail, we would not fail to learn a lesson. We sometimes learned thru failtures, right? If we are observant and cautious enough, we learned thru the mistakes of others. Let’s strive to keep our mind so sharp in thinking rightly. Let’s focus our hearts in loving Jesus more and more. As our life is being unflods before our eyes, so is His love is being demonstrated. Each day spent with His love is far greater than a lifetime spent on sinning. Besides, it’s exciting to live each day without worrying much.

You know to yourself if you are living in God’s expectation on you as His beloved servant.

The scripture is our proof, our guide. It has been written, that a scripture is to teach, rebuke, and prove. It’s our guide for a healthy, godly lifestyle. Let’s continue to live in a bible-based lifestyle. You’ve got more to gain than lose here. For in Christ, you have everything and apart from Him, you are nothing. In Christ, we give up what we can never keep for us to have a Godly life. In Him, we gain immeasurable gifts and favors beyond we can imagine. Only through Him we can have favors beyond this world has to offer. Pursue this lifestyle. Come in the beauty of His holiness. Speak His love. Show His compassion. Always lift up your eyes upon Him.

Have this heart..

Let’s be thankful to God in every ways. Let’s have this submissive heart to honor Him. Let’s continue to lift our eyes unto Him, regardless of our stature before Him and before men. Desire each day to live happily for Him, to dedicate our life to Him. Let’s honor Him with the quality of our life. Desire to live honorably before Him. Be holy more and more each day, dying daily for Him. Whatever it takes to glorify God, execute it!

In His Presence…

There’s no other place on earth so exciting but in His presence. That reverence in worship, standing in awe, worshipping in the beauty of His holiness. No man on the face of the earth is so blessed more than this!

In a secret, in His awesome love, in His dwelling place, is where should be our hearts is. In His presence, everything is being unfolded right before our eyes. All our expectations, all our pleas, all our hopes, they are all being revealed. In His presence, our hearts are being ushered in the depths of His intimacy. Our minds are being renewed to align in His ways. Truly, in His presence, we are being purified, and sanctified.

No word is enough to fully describe how it is to be in His presence. We just can’t help but stand in awe. What we experience is beyond our expectations. As His Word speaks in our life, in each others’ battle, in each other’s struggles, in each other’s blesssings, in each other’s hurts, feats, joys, and each other’s stature before Him, we are being molded and shapen by God for us to endure this perverse generation. Our weary hearts are being comforted, our passionate hearts are being rekindled, our convictions are affirmed, our innermost being are being purified. Even our thoughts are yielding in His thoughts.

“In His presence, our hearts are being ushered in the depths of His intimacy.”

In His presence, we are being changed. For His glory, for His honor, and for His Name.

I’m desiring day by day to be in His presence. Have this fire within your heart. God has set eternity in the hearts of men. Activate it within you. Honor God, and serve Him fully. Bow before the King. Let the heart of worship be awaken in your being. Desire to be in His presence.

This I pray In Jesus name, amen.
