When We Have Nothing To Lose

Word of the day:

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21 NIV

Ever wonder how a man behaves when he has nothing to lose?

I’m taking a shower this morning when God told me about men who have nothing to lose. There are two ways in which a man got nothing to lose – first, if everything have been taken away from him, or secondly, if he have something that no one can take away from him.

On the first case, people who got nothing to lose are those who were seeking for revenge or justice. Either they’re looking for ways to bring back things they have before, or they want to be justified. Most of these people are those who commit suicide or so desperate that they’re losing their grip on the edge. Beware of these people. They got nothing to lose; they will do everything they are thinking of regardless of how those acts affect people around them. Their focus is fixed on one goal, and they will do everything to get that. Let’s not put ourselves in that situation.

Secondly, people got nothing to lose if they have something that no one can take away from them. They possess the same drive, passion, and determination to finish the goal. They are so confident that no one can snatch it away from them.  Let’s have this passion. Let’s have this drive.

I believe that in Christ, we have everything.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

As we walk in the Light, let’s put sins away from us. let’s throw off everything that hinders (see July 27th). As we run this race, see you on the top.

We got nothing to lose, for God is everything, in fact, He is all we’ve got, and He’s all we need.

The key to survive in this dying generation is to live for the glory of God. God bless you.
